We started Green Guru because we are passionate adventurers who love the great outdoors. We found the lifestyle we lead generates considerable amounts of gear waste and we could do something about it.
Today we painstakingly hand build our gear from high quality new and upcycled materials to our exacting specifications. We set up gear waste collection programs with bike shops, outfitters, climbing gyms, surf shops and other gear retailers. These partners can collect these materials like old bike tubes, climbing ropes, tents, wetsuits and more then send to us to be recycled then upcycled. We then make new gear like wallets, messenger bags, backpacks, bike bags and more that help promote a more sustainable lifestyle. All our products are made on Colorado, USA from domestic and foreign materials.
We affect real change in our industry. We do all of this for our friends who follow a greener path keeping our favorite environments clean and open.
Our business is built on a foundation of sustainable actions. We ask difficult questions about processes and create real solutions that help us reduce waste and raise efficiency. This process benefits our organization as well as our business partners on many different levels.
As the amount of materials we reclaim, jobs we create and products we manufacture increases, we are able to realize positive social, environmental and economic change by creating an organization that has the foundation needed to flourish into our future.
We are B-Corp certified and have a gold level status with the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program.
