Being an environmentalist, I wanted to make the brand entirely eco-friendly. As a creative person, drawn to textiles I wanted to keep it different and eye-catching in comparison to the average solid color board sock. And as a surfer I wanted to make them sturdy enough to keep up with the adventures and recklessness that often go hand in hand with a surf trip. My board bag (the first I ever made) has survived Hawaii, Baja, Oregon and a 12-mile hike, and it’s still holding up fine.
The bags are made with half coffee bean sack, half thick fabric, entirely lined and pulled closed with a drawstring. The fabrics are upcycled or vintage. Designed and sewn in sunny Southern California, I hope your board bag can be enjoyed upwards and outwards as a trusty companion to your quiver on surf ventures and daily beach goings.
