About Katherine Homes
Katherine Homes

Katherine Homes, once described as the female version of Bob Dylan, is a longtime resident of Colorado. With her previous band, Boxcar Daisies, she has opened for notable acts such as, Trampled by Turtles, Elephant Revival, Nathaniel Rateliff, Joe Pug, and Emmitt-Nershi Band. After taking time off from music for nearly 8 years she released her new solo album, "Speak", on September 10th 2016. Jamie Mefford (Nathaniel Rateliff/ Gregory Alan Isakov) produced the album and a handful of well-known Colorado musicians, added layers of string instruments in order to create the unique sound it generates.

This past Summer, while thinking of a way to generate more funding for her album, "Speak" she got some patches of her artwork made up to see if she could sell some hats. The rest is history! She now has a hat line. Katherine uses watercolor on wood, has a company in Pennsylvania transfer the image onto the patch and then heat presses the patches onto the hats in Colorado. She then hand sews her label- made in the forests of Washington - onto the hats. They are- almost completely- handmade with love!

Having worked for organizations like, The Climate Reality Project, Health in Harmony, and Green Up Our Schools Katherine demonstrates her commitment as an environmental advocate. She is a proud member of 1% for the Planet and donates 1% of her annual sales to help protect the environment.
When you buy a hat you not only support a small business, but a musician as well. So, get your hat on!
